Frequently asked questions
Ordering, paying, collection, delivery, stock and warranty. If your question is not here, ask us on WhatsApp.
Ordering on WhatsApp
How do I order from the website?
Add what you want to your cart, then press "Order on WhatsApp". Enter your name and WhatsApp number and choose collection or delivery. The website opens WhatsApp with your order already written out, and we reply in the chat to confirm stock, price and how you will receive it.
Your order is an enquiry until we confirm it in the chat. Nothing is charged on the website.
Can I order something that is not on the website?
Yes. Use "Can't find what you're looking for?" at the bottom of the shop page, or just message us on WhatsApp with the make and model. We source instruments, pro audio and accessories from our suppliers regularly and will tell you the price and how long it will take.
Do you give quotes for churches, schools and businesses?
Yes. Send us a list of what you need, or describe the room and what it is for, and we will put together a quote. We can advise on PA systems, microphones, keyboards and drum kits for worship teams, school music rooms, events and studios. Message us on WhatsApp or come into either store to talk it through.
Payment
Can I pay online?
No. The website does not take payment. You pay when you collect from the store or when your delivery is handed over. We accept cash, EcoCash, InnBucks, OneMoney, O'mari, and Visa or Mastercard in store.
Are prices in US dollars? Can I pay in ZiG?
Prices on the website are in US dollars. If you would like to pay in ZiG, ask in store or on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether we can accept it and at what rate on the day. Prices can change with supplier costs, so the price we confirm in the chat is the one that applies.
Do I need to pay a deposit for an order?
Not for items we have in stock. For items we order in for you, we may ask for a deposit before we place the order with the supplier. We will say so clearly in the chat before anything is agreed.
Delivery and collection
Where can I collect, and when are you open?
You can collect from either store: Galaxy Mall, or the corner of Robert Mugabe Road and Kaguvi Street in the Harare CBD. Collection is free. We are usually open Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 and Saturday 08:00 to 13:00. Public holiday hours are posted on WhatsApp.
Tell us which store you prefer when you order and we will make sure the item is there before you come.
Do you deliver in Harare?
Yes. Choose delivery when you order and tell us your area. We confirm the delivery fee and timing on WhatsApp before you commit. Most Harare deliveries go out the same or the next working day once stock is confirmed. You pay on handover.
Do you deliver outside Harare?
Yes, by courier. Tell us the town and we will quote the courier cost and expected time on WhatsApp. Large or fragile items such as drum kits, keyboards and speakers are packed carefully; please check the parcel when it arrives and let us know straight away if anything is damaged.
Products and stock
Is the stock shown on the website accurate?
"In stock" means we have it in the shop at the time the page loaded. Stock moves quickly on popular items, so we confirm availability in the WhatsApp chat before you pay. If something sells out between your order and our reply, we will say so and offer an alternative or a date.
What does "order in" mean, and how long does it take?
It means we do not hold the item in the shop but can get it from our supplier. Lead times depend on the brand and where it ships from: often one to two weeks for items in the region, and longer for anything imported. We give you a realistic estimate on WhatsApp before you decide.
Do the photos show exactly what I will get?
Photos show the model you are buying, but colour, finish and small details can vary between batches and some photos are supplied by the manufacturer. If a detail matters to you, ask on WhatsApp and we will send a photo of the actual item in the shop.
Returns and warranty
What warranty do I get?
Products carry the manufacturer's or supplier's warranty, typically 6 to 12 months depending on the brand. The warranty covers faults in materials or workmanship, not damage, misuse or normal wear. Keep your receipt; we need it to process a claim. Bring the item to either store or message us on WhatsApp and we will handle the claim with the supplier.
Can I return or exchange something?
Yes, within 7 days of purchase if the item is unused, in its original packaging with all accessories, and you have the receipt. We will exchange it or refund you by the method you paid with.
For hygiene and consumable reasons we cannot take back strings, reeds, drumheads, earphones, in-ear monitors and similar items unless they are faulty. Items ordered in specially for you can only be returned if faulty.
General
Do you have a studio I can book?
Yes. Our studio at Galaxy Mall, Harare is available by the hour for rehearsals, recording and practice. The rate is US$10 per hour. See the Studio page for what is in the room, then book a slot on WhatsApp.
How do I book the studio?
Message us on WhatsApp with the date, start time and number of hours you want. We confirm the slot in the chat. Sessions are booked in whole hours and you pay at the studio by cash, mobile money or card.
Do you do repairs and guitar setups?
Ask us on WhatsApp with a short description and a photo if possible. We can arrange setups, restrings and common repairs on guitars and other instruments, and advise on where to take anything we cannot handle ourselves. We will tell you the cost and turnaround before any work starts.
I am a beginner. Can you help me choose, or recommend lessons?
Yes. Tell us what you want to play, roughly what you want to spend and whether it is for a child or an adult, and we will suggest a sensible starting instrument and the accessories you actually need. If you are looking for a teacher, ask on WhatsApp and we will point you to teachers and schools we know in Harare.
