Who we are
The Sound Haus is a musical instrument and pro audio shop in Harare, Zimbabwe, with stores at Galaxy Mall and at the corner of Robert Mugabe Road and Kaguvi Street. This policy explains what information we handle when you use our website or contact us, and how we look after it.
What the website collects
The website is a catalogue. It does not have customer accounts, it does not take payment and it never asks for card or mobile money details.
When you send an order from the website, we receive the name and WhatsApp number you enter, the items in your cart, your choice of collection or delivery, your delivery area if you gave one, and any note you added. When you use the "Can't find what you're looking for?" form, we receive the item details, your name and your WhatsApp number.
Your cart is stored in your own browser so that it is still there if you come back. It is not sent to us until you place an order.
Orders and enquiries are completed on WhatsApp. Messages between you and the shop are handled by our staff on the shop's WhatsApp account and are subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. We use your messages to confirm stock, price, payment and handover, and to follow up on warranty or repair matters.
How we use your information
We use your details only to process your order or enquiry, arrange collection or delivery, handle returns and warranty claims, and respond to you. We may keep order records for accounting and warranty purposes.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with anyone for marketing. We only share what is necessary with a courier to deliver your parcel, or where the law requires it.
Keeping your information safe
Order and enquiry records are kept in a secure system that only shop staff can log in to. We keep them for as long as needed for the purposes above and for our accounting records.
Your rights
Under Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07] you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to ask us to delete it where we no longer need it. To do any of these, message us on WhatsApp at +263 715 177 958 or ask in store. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes
If we change this policy, the new version will be published on this page with the date it was updated.
